Radley Lakes

Radley Lakes

The Lakes is an area of former gravel workings, close to the Thames between Radley and Abingdon in Oxfordshire. Radley Lakes is now a beautiful valuable green space, tranquil and rich in wildlife, which walkers and cyclists can enjoy.

The Radley Lakes Trust was established to conserve and manage the Lakes and their wildlife for the public benefit. They also manage a masterplan which has set out proposals on improvements of access to the Lakes for walkers and cyclists and walking trails within the area. This is funded by the ‘Community Infrastructure Levy’ (payments made to Radley Parish Council by the developers of new housing estates in Radley), and by other grants and donations.
