NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF RADLEY PARISH COUNCIL which will be held on Thursday 23rd May 2024 in the Church Room, Radley at 7.30pm to transact the business set out below.

1. ELECTION
  ·       TO ELECT A CHAIRMAN for the next Council year
  ·       TO ELECT A VICE-CHAIRMAN for the next Council year
   
2 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:

  Councillors who are unable to attend should inform the clerk by 2pm on the day of the meeting, stating the reason for their absence.

·     TO APPROVE a quote for mechanical and electrical support of £1,850+ VAT (file document).

·     TO APPROVE signing of the land transfer contract on the solicitor’s advice on the solicitor’s advice.

·     TO APPROVE the submission of a planning application for the artist elements, delegated to the clerk to process if required.

·       NOTE Residents have met Thames Water – note attached.

 
11. FINANCIAL MATTERS:
11.1 ACCOUNTS:

1.     TO ACKNOWLEDGE scrutiny and acceptance of the monthly bank statements and reconciliation (file document) (for signing by the meeting chairman).

11.2 1.     TO ACKNOWLEDGE scrutiny of the invoices for payment this month and signing of the monthly schedule of payments.

2.     TO APPROVE accounts for payment as itemised on the monthly cashbook for April.

11.3 FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE:
a) ·        TO RECEIVE the notes of the 16th May meeting and
b) ·        TO ENDORSE the recommendations of the Finance and Administration Committee
c) ·       TO APPROVE:

i.           the accounting statements for the year ending 31st March 2024

ii.           the apportionment of bank interest proportionally between the general and CIL accounts

iii.           the continued use of variable direct debits for utility payments.

d) ·        DELEGATE to the clerk

i.           To accept a quote for a replacement under-sink water heater for the pavilion

ii.           Purchase a storage shed for the low value tools for the Lengthsman’s use.

e) ·        NOTE the resignation of Chris Lee from the post of Lengthsman
f) ·        TO DELEGATE to the clerk to

i.       Accept the best quote for a replacement under-sink water heater for the pavilion

ii.        Purchase a storage shed for the low value tools for the Lengthsman’s tools.

iii.        Accept a quote for removal of the pavilion gas meter, based on a verbal estimate from the provider.

11.4 ·        TO ENDORSE the appointment of BGG Garden and Tree Care to carry out grass cutting in the parish for this cutting season.
11.5 ALLOTMENT WATER:

·       TO HEAR an update and

·       CONSIDER quotes to install a new tap and pipe.

12. REPORT OF THE COUNTY AND DISTRICT COUNCILLORS:                    
  ·       TO RECEIVE reports from the District and County councillors.

Councillors Johnston, Cox and Lugova will submit their reports in writing in advance of the meeting and will receive any comments from councillors during the meeting.

1.     TO RECEIVE any reports of any highway problems for submission on Fix My Street.
