RE: CONSULTATION – ‘The Lawns’ Development (Radley) proposed 20mph Speed Limit
We are writing to seek your views on the proposal to introduce a 20mph speed limit on all roads within the new ‘The Lawns’ residential development, leading out to the junctions of Eight Acre & Thomas Crouch Drive with Kennington Road. The proposals will help promote road safety for all road users within the estate, and will also ensure adherence to the Councils policy that all new residential developments should see a lower speed limit as standard when appropriate. In light of this, please find the following documents attached:
- Public Notice,
- Statement of Reasons,
- Consultation Plan(s), and
- Draft Traffic Regulation Order(s).
The proposals are scheduled to be advertised in the Oxford Times newspaper today; Thursday 19th December 2024, and details are also available to view on the Councils consultation portal at the address below:

As stated on the notice, any objections or other representations on the proposals should be submitted by Friday 17th January 2025.
Note. parish & town councils and local Cllrs (County, District, Parish etc..) are all encouraged to use the information contained within & attached to this email to publicise the proposals locally amongst their residents as necessary.
